Introducing the Human-Powered Blog Network
With a vague title like “Director of Online Analysis and Audience Development” at Computerworld and CXO Media I’m able to be involved in a lot of different projects. Most recently I’ve been spearheading a new product called Tech Dispenser.
Tech Dispenser is a technology blog network and aggregator. Unique in that it is completely run by humans, Tech Dispenser is an intentional “step backwards” in content aggregation. Bloggers can apply to be part of the network and a real-life human reviews each application. Once approved, our custom tool grabs each blog’s RSS feed and an editor reviews, tags and categorizes every post. The home page will be compiled by editors and it will include packages of related blog posts which reflect the hottest topics in tech.
We feel that Tech Dispenser will benefit readers, bloggers and advertisers alike. Readers get a human-edited view of the tech landscape, bloggers have the potential to earn more money and gain new readership through techdispenser.com and advertisers can tap the tech blog market and know precisely where their ads will appear.
Tech Dispenser is officially launching later this month, but if you have a blog that you’d like to submit, you can apply at techdispenser.com today.
We’re truly excited about this product and have put significant investment into building the site and set of custom tools used to run it.? If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment below.
